Earl Grey and Kumquat Marmalade

Spanking Service Peterborough

A delightful blend of Earl Grey tea and kumquats creates a unique and aromatic marmalade with a hint of citrusy goodness and the soothing notes of tea. Perfect to spread on your morning toast or use as a flavorful condiment.

Ingredients:

  • 6 Earl Grey tea bags
  • 1 pound 450g kumquats, thinly sliced and seeds removed
  • 3 cups 600g granulated sugar
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • 1 orange, juiced and zested
  • 1/2 cup 120ml water

Instructions:

Add water to a large saucepan and add the sliced kumquats

After bringing to a boil, lower the heat and let simmer for ten minutes, or until the kumquats become tender

To the saucepan, add the sugar, lemon juice, orange juice, and orange zest

After the sugar has dissolved, stir

Tie the strings of the Earl Grey tea bags together so they can be removed easily later and add them to the mixture

Stirring occasionally, simmer the mixture over low heat for 30 to 40 minutes, or until it thickens to the consistency of jam

Take out and throw away the Earl Grey tea bags

While the marmalade is still hot, transfer it to sterilized jars

Once the jars are sealed, allow them to cool fully

After cooling down, keep the Kumquat Marmalade and Earl Grey in a cool, dark place

Savor it as a condiment or on toast
