Poached chicken breasts are a simple and healthy way to prepare chicken, keeping it tender and flavorful. This method infuses the chicken with the subtle flavors of aromatics and ensures moist and juicy meat.

Ingredients:

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons peppercorns
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions:

Put chicken broth, onion, garlic, peppercorns, bay leaves, and salt in a large pot

Over medium-high heat, bring the mix to a boil

Turn down the heat and add the chicken breasts slowly

Cover and let it cook on low heat for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the chicken is done and the middle is no longer pink

Take the chicken breasts out of the liquid that was used to poach them and let them rest for a few minutes

You can serve chicken breasts sliced or shred
